Self Care Sunday

With busy work weeks luring ahead, it is essential to check in with self to be sure that one isn't depleted of energy and other tools necessary to achieve success and productivity. Most of us are tasked with caring for others in some capacity. It is natural to become more effective at caring for others while losing the skill of caring for ourselves over time. It takes intention and follow through to give ourselves the same compassion, love and nurturing that we give others. When we are able to properly care for ourselves, it reduces the need for us to rely heavily on others to provide us with those feelings of love and compassion. We might find that we have more tolerance for others while setting a standard for them to follow in demonstrating how we ought to be cared for. Most importantly, self-care allows us to become well aquatinted with ourselves and helps us to appreciate who we are in essence.
